Cherokeechoctaw River Cane Lidded Basket Red RibbonsReal nice old cherokee- catawba lidded basket- 1910-30 era- river cane with colored intervals- in a four wind pettern- old red cloth has been tied to hold the loop shut- two others as hinges to the lid- one is intact the other need the cloth sewed back together- it may well have been a sewing basket but i believe the red cloth is indicative of native use and possessi0n. It feels that way-e-mail address for furthes photos questions no paypal- personal checks money orders -it has been suggested this may be choctaw also- size 8 1/2 diameter- 5 high. |
