Southern Plains Catlinite Pipe And Carved Effigy StemBeautiful southern plains ash puzzle stem with effigy carving fo a birds head along with brass tacks and file branding in a chevron design. Catliniet t bowl pipe has been smoked. oBwl is slightly flared. Pipe is 4.75l and 31l overall fits well no stem. Ex anne ida miller estate, tyler tx. Hre father was a physician in ok and purchased the pipe at a parade in 1911 in anadarko, ok. Beautiful condition and rare with effigy image. Low reserve. On oct-11-08 at 185729 pdt, seller added the following informationthe pipe has etchings of the four directions on top of the bowl. I have also added a better photo of the bird head effigy adn the pipe.
